Research Policies Committee

Overview

The Research Policy Committee advises and consults with the Vice President for Research on matters of research and research personnel. Recent Topics: technology transfer, issues affecting research scientists, research commitments, annual review of regential research policy, research ethics, research computing, OVPR annual report to the Regents.

Established by Senate Assembly: March 21, 1994

Purpose: To advise the Vice President for Research and to study all matters pertaining to research at the University of Michigan, proposing appropriate actions to the Senate Assembly.

Composition: 12 faculty members for three-year terms.

Procedures: Committee meets at least monthly during the academic year.
