Overview: The Medical Affairs Advisory Committee advises and consults with the Executive Vice President for Medical Affairs on healthcare issues and policy.
Purpose: To provide advice on policy issues brought to the committee by the Vice President for Medical Affairs and others. Review, monitor and help build support for policies as they are being developed. Advise/inform SACUA and other pertinent Senate Committees on relevant policy issues in health and medical affairs. Provide for exchange of relevant information among the various faculties in the health sciences (Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Public Health, Pharmacy, and Social Work) and between the health sciences and other units of the university. Become knowledgeable about the policies and issues within Health Affairs in order to identify and contribute to appropriate faculty initiatives in health and medical affairs.
